November 2021 Notes Scothern NDP Group

Notes of the meeting of Scothern Neighbourhood Development Plan Group on Wednesday 17th November at Methodist Church, Main Street, Scothern
Present: Cllr Cathie Nicoll, Cllr John Fotheringham, Cllr Robert Creasey, Cllr Jane Johnson,

Cathie Nicholl informed the group that Ruth Northeast had resigned due to other commitments, Ruth had been a valuable member of the group particularly during the development of the original plan. It was agreed that CN would send a letter of thanks from the group.
The link to the DropBox shared drive that had been sent to all the members of the group by Ruth Northeast, CN agreed to show the members of the group how to access it at the end of the session.
A hard copy of the Central Lincolnshire Local Plan (CLLP) Consultation published responses and key issues was circulated.
Luke Brown informed the group that the timescales for the final version of the Central Lincolnshire Local Plan (CLLP) submission process had now changed. The impact of this would mean that it would be necessary to hold a public consultation event to seek the views of Scothern Residents on the design and layout of the two potential developments prior to the CLLP final draft submission. It was agreed to hold this as soon as possible on Saturday 11th December 2021 from 10.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m.
A draft invitation to residents was prepared at the meeting, the group discussed content, date, timings, and arrangements for venue. The final draft would be circulated to the group by CN for final agreement as soon as possible. CN would then arrange printing of leaflet for the group to distribute around the village. A printed version of the map of Scothern showing the possible sites was needed for displaying at the meeting. The group also prepared questions to consult with the public on at the event including housing type, size, possible adaptable and specialist home features and environmental requirements.
Prior to the meeting Luke Brown distributed a document identifying track changes to the introduction and sections 1 and 2.1 to 2.2 of the current Scothern Neighbourhood Development Plan. The group discussed these changes and made any necessary amendments.
Luke Brown confirmed he would continue to review and edit sections for the group to consider at the next meeting.
Next steps:
1. Cathie Nicoll to send Ruth Northeast a letter of thanks from the group for her contribution to developing the first plan.
2. It was agreed to hold a public consultation event to seek the views of Scothern Residents on the design and layout of the two potential developments on Saturday 11th December from 10.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m.
3. A draft invitation to residents would be circulated to the group by CN for final agreement.
4. CN to arrange printing of leaflet for the group to distribute around the village.
5. LB to continue to review and edit sections for the group to consider at the next meeting.
