SCOTHERN PARISH COUNCIL

 

A meeting of Scothern Parish Council will take place on Wednesday 13th April 2022 immediately following the Annual Parish Meeting, which will start at 7.30pm in The Methodist Church, Main Street, Scothern. Members of the public are welcome to attend.

At the start of the meeting there will be a 15-minute public forum where members of the public can raise any point or concerns to the Council.  Decisions cannot be made during this time but may become a future agenda item.

a) To receive an update regarding the Community Speed Initiative  (DC)

b) To receive an update regarding drainage issues on Sudbrooke Road, including traffic arrangements for the road closure (CN)

c) To receive an update on the maintenance and possible relocation of the war memorial (CN)

8. Council Functions:

a) To discuss and take any necessary action regarding the reinstatement of public transport, including a shopper bus (Clerk)

b) To discuss and take any necessary action regarding the Neighbourhood Plan review (JLF)

c) To receive a proposal to adopt the following policies and procedures, following review:-

Data Audit/ Publication Scheme/ Standing Orders, Financial Regulations and Risk Assessment. (JJ/Clerk)

d) To receive and decide upon a quote for lighting for the Jubilee celebrations and further use by the village hall.

e) To discuss and take any necessary action regarding the best garden compertition

c) To receive an update from Scothern Recreation Centre regarding a financial contribution to strim the perimeter of the playing field during growing season at £26 per occasion (JLF)

d) To receive an update regarding the Locality funding for 2021-22 towards the Neighbourhood Plan review.

e) To note notification of 2021/22 Annual Audit documents

f) To discuss and take any necessary action regarding flooding on Main Street, adjacent to number 23.

h) To discuss and take any necessary action regarding the potholes on Main Steet towards Langworth Road.

b) 144176 – 22 Sudbrooke Road – Planning application for removal of conservatory, rear extension, car port and creation of first floor with ridge lift – Granted

c) 144213 – Land to the rear of Weir Farm Paddock – Outline planning application to erect up to 36no. dwellings – access to be considered and not reserved for subsequent applications – Refused

d) 144296 – Pyewipe Farm, Northing Lane – Planning application to install a ground mount solar panel system comprising of 56no. panels in 2 x rows of 28 – Undergoing public consultation

e) 144357 – Chesterwood, 30 Main Street – Planning application for first floor extension, together with the installation of 2no. dormers to front elevation – Undergoing public consultation

f) 144546 – Lycka, 41 Main Street – Planning application to remove existing single storey extension and erect two storey rear extension – discuss and submit and comments to WLDC

g) 44608 - The Bramblings, 10 Church Street - Planning application for proposed side and in-roof first floor extension – discuss and submit comments to WLDC
