November 2022 Notes Scothern NDP Group

Meeting of Scothern Neighbourhood Development Plan group on Wednesday 30th November 2022 at 7.30pm at Bottle and Glass Public House, High Street, Scothern

Present: Cllr Robert Creaser, Cllr John Fotheringham, Cllr Jane Johnson, Cllr Cathie Nicoll, Melanie Tointon and Luke Brown (Planning Consultant)

Cathie attended the formal inspection of the Central Lincolnshire Local Plan and gave feedback on the session.    Luke stated in his opinion it is unlikely that the sites will be removed unless the landowners themselves withdraw them.  There is nothing to stop either site (or any other site) being put forward for planning prior to the CLLP being adopted.

Cathie supplied hard copies of the final analysis of the residents’ responses from the Neighbourhood Development Plan consultation.  These reinforced many of the points raised by the group.

The group went through the responses from the statutory consultees. The majority of the comments came from WLDC although there were no serious issues arising.

WLDC contacted the formal consultees on our behalf and although we had a response from Severn Trent Water which is not our water authority there was no response from Anglian Water.  Cathie to chase up with Anglian Water direct.

The next step is for Luke to make alterations to the plan taking into consideration the consultees’ comments. The group will then approve the amended document at the next meeting and forward to the Parish Council to approve at their meeting on 8th March 2023.  The document could still be held back if we have an indication from the examiners of a decision on the 2 sites.

Luke to also draw up a consultation report using information from the consultation responses.

NEXT MEETING: Wednesday 18th January 2023 at 7.30pm at Bottle and Glass Pub
