There was no Scothern Parish Council meeting in August 2022 due to the holiday period, therefore a brief update is provided of current news.

Council Clerk

Michelle Vail has been appointed to the post of Clerk to Scothern Parish Clerk and will start on 5th September 2022. Michelle is an experienced Clerk and currently works as a Clerk in other local parishes, we are delighted to welcome her to the village, and she is looking forward to learning more about Scothern. The Clerk can continue to be contacted by e-mail at scothernpc@yahoo.co.uk or refer to the website https://scothern.parish.lincolnshire.gov.uk/ for further information and Councillor contact details. A new phone number for the Clerk will be provided after 5th September 2022.

Dunholme Road/Main Street resurfacing works

A reminder that Lincolnshire County Council have informed residence of the resurfacing work that will take place from 24th August to 1st September 2022. The work will be taking place at night and a full road closure with a local diversion route will be in place between the hours of 20:00 to 06:00.

Sudbrooke Road Roadworks

Lincolnshire County Council continue to report that good progress is being made and they are on target to complete on time.

Best Garden Competition

The winners of Scothern best garden competition will be announced at the Scothern Flower and Produce Show on Saturday 3rd September.
