Parish Council Clips - September 2022

Parish Council Clips

The Scothern Parish Council meeting planned for 14 September 2022 was postponed in observance of the period of mourning following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Notification of the next meeting will be made on the Parish Council Website, Facebook Page and Village Noticeboards.

The Parish Council would like to express its deep sadness at the passing of the HM Queen Elizabeth II. Many of our residents have been touched by her work. Thank you to those who facilitated the ringing of the Church bell on Friday 9th September and for making the arrangements for St. Germain's Church to be opened during the period of mourning.

A brief update is provided of current news:

The drainage works on Sudbrooke Road have been completed and the road reopened on 1st September 2022. The Dunholme Road/Main Street roadworks took place, with road closures overnight, from 24th August to 2nd September, whilst this caused disruption to residents it has resulted in a much improved road surface.
